VocalistSoulful, gospel-influenced lead vocalist with roots in church singing. Ms Kyia is known for her rich tone and dynamic stage presence.
Lauren
VocalistDynamic lead/harmony vocalist and make-up artist. Brings her theatre and live music experience, with strong jazz, soul, reggae and pop vocals, complemented by the charismatic performance skills from her live theatre work.
Russell
Sax & KeysKey figure in Groove 101’s sound. Plays sax and keys with tight unison lines, rich voicings and smooth solos.
Paul
TrumpetOne of the South East’s standout brass players. From Royal Albert Hall gigs to festivals, his muted solos shine in slow jams, while ska and soul sets show off his humour and stage presence.

Trombone, Violin & VocalsNew to the South East, already making waves. Funky trombone solos, virtuoso violin, tight horn lines and precise vocals.
John
BassLocks in the rhythm section with a deep pocket and precise funk lines. A seasoned performer at festivals and functions alike, he's equally adept at finger-style grooves and energetic slap lines.

Guitar & PercussionVeteran of the scene. Brings tasteful Latin/jazz guitar and adds conga, tambourine, and shaker to lift the live sound. Known for his dry wit.

We play a high-energy mix of Funk, Soul, Ska, Reggae and Pop from across the decades, designed to keep the dance floor full. Our standard performance is two 60-minute sets, but we are happy to tailor this to suit your needs (e.g., up to three hours of live music). With advance notice, you can request a special song for your event.
Creating the perfect atmosphere for weddings is our specialty. We understand that every wedding is unique and offer a range of services to match your day:
- Your First Dance: We would be honoured to learn and perform your special song for your first dance. We just require some advance notice to make it perfect.
- The Main Party: Up to three hours of high-energy live music from our repertoire of funk, soul, and pop hits, guaranteed to fill your dance floor.
- Atmosphere Music: We can also provide a relaxed instrumental set, perfect for creating a sophisticated ambiance during your drinks reception or dinner.
We handle all the details, from coordinating seamlessly with your venue to dressing smartly for the occasion, ensuring your entertainment is professional and unforgettable.
Yes, a DJ service between our live sets is included at no extra cost to keep the party atmosphere going.
We are based in the South East but regularly travel for events, so please get in touch to discuss your location. At the venue, we require about 90 minutes for setup, a stage area of approximately 5x3 metres with access to at least two 13A power sockets. We typically dress smartly but are happy to match a specific theme if requested in advance.
